One thing I do in NY after work to spend the rest of the evening is to people watch and go on long walks. Rain did come in the way on a couple of days but the poncho from the my Nashville trip did come in handy. This is one of those colorful, creative and different form of art exhibition I stumbled upon.
I did not go inside the gallery, more like window watching the gallery from outside. On another note, not a great week work wise or otherwise. I heard of two couples getting separated. One a cousin of my cousin's husband whom we have met/socialized plenty of times and another a friend with whom I had one too many girls night out. We can only hope we find what we are looking for in our lives.

New York New York

I am at least a month behind on my posts. There are very few months where so much happens and I have so little time to add it to my journal aka this blog. Other times, it's simply more of the same events. I was accompanied by an ex-New Yorker who also happens to be a huge history buff and an upcoming writer. Her book is ready and awaiting a publisher. So no wonder she suggested Hotel Roosevelt. The building is simply NY history personified. The hotel has appeared in many movies.

Forbidden Caves, TN

The Forbidden caves/caverns are about 20 miles from Gatlinsberg in Servieville. The natural entrance to the cave is a tiny hole high above, so inconspicuous that it acted as a perfect hideout spot for the Moon shiners to housed their unit. The flowing stream of water under the cave served its due purpose.
Man made features like adding an accessible entrance, lights to enhance the stalgamites, stalacites and other naturally formed features like columns, cavern draperies etc are part of the hour long guided tour through the cave. The caves were also used by the Indians leaders ... may be like a cabinet meeting (?).

Taylor Swift, Country Music Hall Of Fame, TN

Popular amongst the younger women and tweens, Taylor Swift is known for her break ups, match ups with rich high profile young men. Has that not been the case with most star-muscians, may be the heart breaks and aches serves as inspiration to create music.
The country music star is from Nashville and has donated her outfits from the Speak Now Tour to the Country Music Hall of Fame. Her music sounds more like pop than Country music to me but I guess she is clasified a Country Music star because she write her own music and is from Nasville(do we need another reason?).
